    Hello Alumni!
I would like to hear some feedback on how many of you graduates have been able to land a job, and the course of action you took to get the interview. What is the success rate of passing the CPC examination on the first try?

    Helo fellow classmates,
I would like to know if there are opportunities out there for Managed Care Contracting Positions within the provider’s offices with a Medical Billing and Coding degree. Also, I would like to know how a facility’s coding test differs from the CPc coding examiniation?

I have found from my experience that there are some jobs and schedules that make it easier to attend school, even online courses. I feel that my job and schedule made it very difficult to study and attend to all that was expected of me. Being a home care attendant with an ever changing schedule, while trying to go to school, is definitely one of the biggest challenges I have ever faced. You need to stay focused on both job and school and do the best that you can.

In the ever-changing world of technology, data entry has gone to front of the line. Technology is only as good as the human that programs and enters the data. In my opinion Medical Coding is a career that is going to be around for a long time and I am looking forward to being apart of this ever changing world of technology!

As a student of Allen School online; we are stting in the last week of class. WE have been at it now for nine long months and we are tired and burned out. This last week is the most important. How do we focus and get through this last week? Rally your strength, focus on whats in front of you while looking at that bright light at the end of the tunnel. We will walk away from this experience with broader knowledge of healthcare, new friends and the proudness of acomplishing such a demanding and time consuming task. Thanks to all: my classmates, instructors, and my family for helping me and supporting me to the end.

In finishing up the last week in this 9 month program at Allen School Online, I have a few words of wisdom or suggestions if you will, for future students. I cannot stress enough to make the time to study and get your work done. This is a very accelerated and time-consuming program and to benefit the most from it, you must be committed and self-motivated and self-disciplined enough to make yourself put aside the laundry or dishes and sit down at the computer and do the work. You need a good support system that will help you pick up the extra work that you will not have time for at home. I have definitely learned a lot from this program and am looking forward to takinig my exam for my credentials and going forward in my life! I thank all of my classmates for the constructive criticism and my instructors for helping me with all of my difficult assignments. Good luck to everyone in this program and your futures!

I really enjoyed my time here at Allen Online School. I learned a lost of informative information regarding Medical Billing & Coding. I successfully completed my 9 months, and now I am preparing for my CPC exam. It has been very stressful trying to come up with a study plan, so if anyone have a successful study plan to go by then please do not hesitate to share it. When attending an online school, I have to say that, you have to have self-discipline because you will soon give up. I used to always start something and never finish it, but now I finaaly accomplished something without given up. My husband helped me out a lot while I was attending my courses. He helped me out by cooking and cleaning the house, and by keeping the children quiet while I was attending my live sessions. I really appreciate him for that.

    Reflections on online learning

Before I started studying online, I had no idea what I would encounter. It was a venture into the great unknown. I now would recommend it to anyone.

At the Allen School I have met some very incredible support staff and professors. Some of them are absolutely amazing in their support and encouragement of students. The Student Services Dept. has some wonderful people on its staff. The management is very responsive to handling issues which arise from time to time.

What amazed me the most was the way that making posts promoted relationships among the students. I never dreamed that could happen on the internet. I have friends in many areas of the country. They have been a great source of encouragement and support. They have helped me to understand coding concepts and have patiently worked with me.

This has been a wonderful journey, and the best is yet to come!
