Lisa Hamby

The Allen School is (to me):

A wonderful network of people who work hard to help others achieve their goals.  The Allen School is a “top-notch” learning institution that has stood the test of time and provides quality education to its students.

My academic/medical interests are:

Medical billing and coding and Legal issues.

Some of the jobs I have had in my lifetime include:

Pastry chef, part owner of a home healthcare agency, Medical and Dental Insurance Claim Processor, Benefits Consultant, Compliance Analyst and Corporate Litigation Paralegal.

The best thing about being an instructor is:

Being able to have a small part in helping others to reach their goals and dreams.

When I am not in the classroom or on campus I can be found:

At home usually in the kitchen creating wonderful meals for my family.

Movies I can watch over and over:

Pride and Prejudice, Dances with wolves, and Christmas Vacation

Favorite TV shows:

National news, House hunters international, anything on HGTV or Food Network.

Websites I visit daily:

Allenschool Blackboard, YouTube and (I must confess), EBay.

Favorite area restaurants:

Longhorn steakhouse, Hibachi Grill, Maggiano’s

Coolest things I have ever done:

Swam under a waterfall high up in the mountains at Waimea Falls in Oahu, Hawaii.
