Olivia Rodrigo faculty bio

Olivia Rodrigo

The Allen School is (to me):

After a long day at my day job, the Allen School is a second  home where I feel at ease looking forward to seeing my students who are also eager to see me.  The school is kind of a sanctuary to me where I can freely impart my knowledge to students as a teacher, something I have never considered a job but a privilege.

My academic/medical interests are:

anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, medical laboratory techniques, EKG, and clinical office procedures.

Some of the jobs I have had in my lifetime include:

practicing as a medical physician, professional medical coder, and teacher of medical courses.

The best thing about being an instructor is:

when I see that my students graduate, get jobs, and later become professionals themselves.

When I am not in the classroom or on campus I can be found:

at work in an office.

Movies I can watch over and over:

include The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, and The Ten Commandments.

Favorite TV shows:

include Crime Scene Investigators, Body of Proof, and Person Of Interest.

Websites I visit daily:

include Google, and Yahoo.

Favorite area restaurants:

include all Filipino and other Asian restaurants.

Coolest thing I have ever done:

include taking a cruise in the Baltic Sea and the Mediterranean.

Places I have lived:

include the Philippines, Nigeria, and the USA.
