Module 5 Students Provide Free Health Screenings and Community Outreach in Partnership with Choose Healthy Life

Allen School of Health Sciences is proud to share heartfelt recognition from the Choose Healthy Life team following a recent community health event, where the School’s Module 5 Medical Assisting students volunteered their time and skills to serve local residents.

“On behalf of my Choose Healthy Life Team, I would like to express my appreciation to the Allen School of Health Sciences for allowing your Module 5 students to participate in our community event today,” the organization shared. “You would be proud of your students and your team. The students did a great job with the blood pressure and glucose screenings, processing thirty-two participants. The Academics Team provided excellent supervision and guidance to the students as they worked and encouraged them to become involved in other aspects of the event, making contact with the vendors present.”

The event also highlighted the leadership of Allen School staff member Deidre, who introduced the school to attendees and shared information encouraging them to consider a career in Medical Assisting. “Deidre did a great job of introducing the school and providing information to prompt those present to take a good look at the field of Medical Assisting,” the organization noted. “Her energy was infectious.”

Choose Healthy Life expressed confidence that the experience made a lasting impression on the students. “I trust that exposing them to the event proved to be beneficial in helping the students to realize just how important it is to give back to the community. Again, thank you for your participation in our efforts to provide the community with the information and resources they need in order to achieve and maintain maximum health. I am proud to be a member of the Allen School team! I look forward to having your students join us again in the future.”

Allen School of Health Sciences remains committed to preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals through hands-on training, real-world clinical exposure, and a strong culture of community service — values reflected in every event its students and staff take part in.
