An Opportunity to Practice Your New Skills
As a student you will complete a total of 275 hours of Internship experience. This is your opportunity to practice your new skills in a real-world context, where you will work side by side with doctors while interacting with patients. These hours will take place over a three-month period, which will be your opportunity to gain valuable skills and start your network within the industry. Students will be working directly under the supervision of a Doctors, PA’s, RN’s, LPNs, or Office Manager. A medical assistant internship will include both clinical and administrative duties, providing practical experience in a healthcare setting. Interns will learn to take vital signs, assist with patient exams, manage patient records, and perform basic lab procedures, while also gaining experience in administrative tasks like scheduling appointments and handling insurance verification.
