Allen School Students Take Part In Walk to Support Down Syndrome

sharing down syndrome walk 2015 institution for hope

Recently the Allen School of Health Science’s Phoenix campus had a wonderful opportunity to join forces with a local non-profit group called Sharing Down Syndrome to raise funds and participate in their annual sharing walk. Students and staff came together and were able to raise over $1500 for this incredible organization. Sharing Down Syndrome member Teresa Adair had the following to say regarding the Allen School’s participation in this event: We had a blast that day and are so glad it was a positive experience for you and your group. We appreciate your generosity with your team donations. We’re grateful for individuals in our community who care enough to make a difference.” Sharing Down Syndrome was founded in 1991 by Gina Johnson. Their mission is to educate and empower, but especially give hope to individuals who have Down syndrome so they may grow up to become independent self-advocates.
